Eternal suspicions between China and the U.S.

We witness the relationship between China and the U.S. from freeze to boil, from pessimism to optimism through the media, and we are always convinced of better Sino-US relationship. We, however, should acquaint ourselves with the current situation that China and the U.S. are timeless adversaries rather than temporary cooperators.

Distinguishing world views construct socialistic China and capitalistic America. These fundamental concepts are deeply rooted in the brains of citizens and make mutual trust a luxury for the two nations.

Different cultural backgrounds——more than 5,000 years’ long standing history from the East and 500 years’ melting pot from the West——impel misunderstandings to constant troubles.

Therefore, what we should do is to encourage reciprocal communication to reduce clash between the two countries, and in the meantime, enhance the softpower of our country. Strong softpower can make others learn our constitution and regime, so as to eliminate mutual differences fundamentally.
